| Nails Inc. Feather Effects Polish in York |
I hate it. I'm so disappointed because every other product I've had from the brand has been amazing. The polish itself its more like a topcoat, with it being in a clear base with your chosen colors as strands. York is orange and white, so I've applied it over Rimmel Lycra Pro in 440 Orange Bliss. Firstly, I don't think it looks like feathers in the slightest. I can see where the branding is going, but they haven't hit the nail on the head. Its so hard to get a full coverage of the piece. I've found almost pushing the polish onto your nail then patting the flakes off the brush (not moving them around your nail) is the only way. Unless you are amazing with polish, this is so fiddly and time consuming its just not worth it. Secondly is the texture. I know textures a big thing at the moment, but I didn't buy this for texture, I wanted it to be smoothish to the extent of a glitter polish but no, this dries really uneven, even using a good two coats of Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Topcoat. Lastly this is horrendous to get off! I did a trial run before this version, and only used one topcoat layer, and wow it took me a good 10 minutes scrubbing away. Afterwards the skin around my nails was left sore and red, and overall didn't make me want to use it again. Second time round, the same issues have happened. All in all, this looks so messy. I didn't apply my orange base coat neatly because I thought this would cover up any mistakes, but wow my nails look a state. For £11 this is not worth the money, personally I'd go and buy a MAC eye shadow!
If you still want to brave this, you can get the polish directly from Nails Inc. for £11.
